I. Cách dùng "in case"
Mang nghĩa "TRONG TRƯỜNG HỢP MÀ, NHỠ MÀ"
= in the event that something happens

- In case và In the event diễn tả ý việc gì sẽ xảy ra hoặc không xảy ra

II. Cách dùng "In the event of sth / in the event that + clause"
Mang nghĩa "trong trường hợp cái gì xảy ra / Trong tình huống mà"
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- In the event that trang trọng hơn in case.
- Dùng should trong mệnh đề trạng ngữ nhằm nhấn mạnh sự không chắc chắn của người nói về điều gì sẽ xảy ra.
- Hoặc không dùng should thì cũng có thể chia simple present

- In the event of an actual emergency, you will be told what to do.
- In the event of fire, use the extinguishers. (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: Trong trường hợp có cháy, hãy dùng bình cứu hỏa)
- In the event that you (should) reach me, I'll be at my uncle's house.
- In the event that the performance is canceled, you can get your money back
