1. [Dùng cho người] have something in common (with somebody): cùng sở thích, có điểm chung
=(of people) to have the same interests, ideas, etc. as somebody else
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- Tim and I have nothing in common./I have nothing in common with Tim.
2. [Vật] have something in common (with something): có điểm chung
(of things, places, etc.) to have the same features, characteristics, etc.
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- The two cultures have a lot in common.
3. in common with somebody/something: giống với cái gì
=in the same way as somebody/something
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- India, in common with many other countries, has experienced major changes over the last 100 years.
- Britain, in common with many other industrialized countries, has experienced major changes over the last 100 years.
