I. Dùng"ridicule" như verb
Mang nghĩa"nhạo báng, chế nhạo; giễu cợt ( ai/cái gì)"
=to try to make someone or something seem silly by making fun of them in an unkind way

II. Dùng"ridicule" như noun
Mang nghĩa"sự nhạo báng, sự chế nhạo, sự giễu cợt, sự bông đùa"
=remarks or behaviour intended to make someone or something seem silly by making fun of them in an unkind way
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- object of ridicule (=someone or something that people make fun of)
- hold someone/something up to ridicule (=make them look silly in public)

- The idea met with such ridicule that it was dropped.
- Her old-fashioned ideas risk making her an object of ridicule.
