1. Mang nghĩa "sự cố gắng; sự nỗ lực"
=an attempt to do something that is difficult or that involves hard work
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- Với nghĩa này, effort vừa là danh từ đếm được, vừa không đếm được
- an effort to do something
- in an effort to do something
- make an effort to do something
- make little/no effort
- an effort of will/imagination/memory
- despite someone’s efforts
- a concerted/joint effort (=made together)

- The restructuring was part of an effort to boost company profits.

2. Mang nghĩa "công sức, hao tâm, cống hiến (trí óc & sức lực)"
=physical or mental energy needed to do something
