II. Cách dùng
1. Mang nghĩa "ấn, bấm nút, nhấn, ép"
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- Với nghĩa này, press là ngoại động từ
1.1. Mang nghĩa "nhấn nút"
=to push something firmly, often without causing it to move permanently further away from you
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- Press the button to start the machine.
- He pressed his face against the window.
- Can you press a little harder on my shoulders, please?
- The crowd pressed against the locked doors trying to get into the building.
- Press down firmly on the lever.
- to press on a button (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: ấn nút (điện...))
1.2. Mang nghĩa "ủi"
=to make clothes smooth by ironing them

- I'll just press these trousers.
1.3. Mang nghĩa "ép, làm nước ép"
=to put a weight on fruit in order to remove the juice

2. Mang nghĩa "thúc ép, thúc bách, dồn ép"
=to try hard to persuade someone to do something

- They had all been pressed into helping with the preparations for the party.
- Managers are being pressed to ensure safety standards are met.
3. Mang nghĩa "hối hả, vội vã, tất bật"
=to move as a group by pushing together in a particular direction press forward:
