1. Mang nghĩa "rời khỏi; khởi hành"
=to go away or leave, especially on a journey

- depart from: đi khỏi
- depart for: đến
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- the train will depart for Paris at 6 am (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: xe lửa sẽ khởi hành đi Pari lúc 6 giờ sáng)
- The plane departs at 6 a.m.
- The bus for Dallas departs from the Greyhound-Trailways Terminal.
- The plane departed at noon.
- Our flight departs from Shannon Airport at 2 o’clock.
- The Foreign Minister will depart for Cairo this evening.
2. Mang nghĩa "sao lãng; đi trệch, lạc (đề)"
=If you depart from your usual or intended activity or behavior, you do something different

- to depart from a subject (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: lạc đề)
