1. Mang nghĩa "bằng lòng, đồng ý làm cái gì theo ý muốn của ai đó"
=to say that you will do something that someone else wants or suggests

- agree to sth
- agree to do something
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- I asked her to marry me, and she agreed.
- The school agreed to send the students on the course. We have agreed to their request for a full investigation.
2. Mang nghĩa "đồng ý với ai về điều gì"
=to have the same opinion as someone else

3. Mang nghĩa "phù hợp với, khớp với"
=if two pieces of information agree, they are the same or suggest the same thing

=to decide together what will be done and how it will be done

III. Cách phân biệt
1. Thể hiện "đồng ý vấn đề gì đó" dùng "agree with sth"

- Thể hiện sự đồng ý vấn đề gì dùng ‘agree with something’ (không dùng ‘agree something’)

✗ As a non-smoker, I agree banning smoking in restaurants.(SAI)

2. Agree to sth = bằng lòng làm theo việc mà người khác muốn mình làm

- Thể hiện sự đồng ý vấn đề gì dùng ‘agree with something’ (không dùng ‘agree TO something’)
- To agree to something hoặc agree to do something

3. Agree + sth chỉ dùng với nghĩa "đồng lòng / nhất trí quyết định cái gì"
