2.1. Mang nghĩa"dịp, thời điểm một sự kiện xảy ra"
=a time at which something happens/a special or important time or event
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- Với nghĩa này, occasion là danh từ đếm được
- on one occasion (=once)
- on this occasion
- on an earlier occasion
- on occasion (=sometimes)
- special occasion
- mark an occasion (=celebrate it)
- on the occasion of something (=when something special happens)
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- On one occasion we had to walk all the way home.
- I’ll let you off on this occasion.
- We tested a similar product on an earlier occasion.
- He continues to work with us on occasion.

=a suitable time for something
