1. Mang nghĩa "có thể thực hiện được"
=If it is possible to do something, it can be done.

It is (im)possible (for sb) to do sth
Sth is/are (im)possible (Chủ ngữ ở đây là một việc hay một điều gì)

IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- If it is possible to find out where your brother is, we shall.
- Everything is possible if we want it enough.
- This morning he had tried every way possible to contact her.
- Live as you like, leave home if you want–that was never possible when I was young.
- It's been a beautiful evening and you have made it all possible
- all possible means (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: mọi biện pháp có thể)
- it's not humanly possible to lift the weight (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: con người không thể nào nâng được trọng lượng đó)
- It is possible to get there by bus.
- Is it possible to buy tickets in advance?
- a new technique that made it possible to perform this operation
- Is it possible for me to sit here and wait for Tom Cruise?
This mission is impossible.
- Rescuers are doing everything that is humanly possible to free the trapped people.
2. Mang nghĩa "có thể xảy ra"
=A possible event is one that might happen.

- Her family is discussing a possible move to America.
- frost is possible , although unlikely , at this time of year (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: vào quãng này hàng năm có thể có sương giá, tuy vậy cũng không chắc)
- are you insured against all possible risks ? (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: anh có được bảo hiểm về mọi khả năng có thể xảy ra không?)
- It is perfectly possible that humans might one day live on other planets.
- One possible solution, if all else fails, is to take legal action.
- Is this not a possible outcome of the development of genetically modified food?
3. Mang nghĩa "hợp lý"
=If you say that it is possible that something is true or correct, you mean that although you do not know whether it is true or correct, you accept that it might be.

- It is possible that there's an explanation for all this.
- a possible solution to the dispute (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: một giải pháp hợp lý cho cuộc tranh chấp)
- there are several possible explanations (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: có mấy cách giải thích có thể chấp nhận được)
- Of course it's possible that a severe shake-up would make your husband realize how much you really mean to him
4. Mang nghĩa "càng sớm / nhiều càng tốt"
=If you do something as soon as possible, you do it as soon as you can / If you get as much as possible of something, you get as much of it as you can

As soon as possible = ASAP (viết hoặc nói tắt) = sớm nhất, nhanh nhất có thế
Cụm này là cực kì thường gặp nhé, kể cả viết tắt ASAP cũng cực kì thường gặp và đọc tắt luôn nhé

- Please make your decision as soon as possible.
- I want to learn as much as possible about the industry so that I'm better prepared.
- Michael sat down as far away from her as possible.
- Buy fresh produce as often as possible.
- You need to send me your proposal ASAP.
5.Mang nghĩa "cái gì ....nhất có thể"
=You use possible with superlative adjectives to emphasize that something has more or less of a quality than anything else of its kind.

- They have joined the job market at the worst possible time.
- We expressed in the clearest possible way our disappointment, hurt and anger.
- He is doing the best job possible.
6. Mang nghĩa "nếu có thể"
=You use possible in expressions such as 'if possible' and 'if at all possible' when stating a wish or intention, to show that although this is what you really want, you may have to accept something different

- If possible = If you can
- if (at all) possible
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- I need to see you, right away if possible. ...the moral duty to uphold peace if at all possible.
- Try not to spend too much money on shopping if possible. (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: Nếu có thể, hãy cố gắng đừng tiêu quá nhiều tiền vào việc mua sắm.)
- We need to avoid delay if at all possible.
7. Mang nghĩa "tương lai, sắp trở thành"
=If you describe someone as, for example, a possible Prime Minister, you mean that they may become Prime Minister.

- It seems that the studio saw her as a possible successor to Bette Davis.
- Bradley has been considered a possible presidential contender himself.
