1. fraction mang nghĩa phân số (toán học)
(a number that results from dividing one whole number by another)

- ¼ and 0.25 are different ways of representing the same fraction
- The denominator of a common fraction is the bottom number.

2. fraction mang nghĩa phần nhỏ, miếng nhỏ
(a small part of something, or a small amount)
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- 4% = a tiny fraction
- IELTS TUTOR giải thích: fraction ở đây mang nghĩa chỉ là 1 phần nhỏ thôi (4%)
- Although sexual and violent crimes have increased by 13 percent, they remain only a tiny/small fraction of the total number of crimes committed each year.
- He earns a fraction over minimum wage.
