II. Cách dùng động từ "narrow" tiếng anh
Mang nghĩa "thu hẹp; (làm cho) hẹp lại"
=to become less wide or to make something less wide
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- The road narrows after the bridge.
- He narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
- They have narrowed the focus of the investigation, to concentrate on younger adults.
- We must strive to narrow the gap between rich and poor.
- in order to widen the road , they had to narrow the pavement (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: để mở rộng đường, họ phải thu hẹp lề đường lại)
- the road narrows here (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: đến đây con đường hẹp lại)
- her eyes narrowed suddenly (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: đôi mắt bà ta đột nhiên nheo lại)
- the gap between the two parties has narrowed considerably (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: khoảng cách giữa hai phía đã thu hẹp lại đáng kể)
