II. Cách dùng
1. Mang nghĩa "nhận chìm, nhận sâu (xuống vực thẳm...)"
=If one thing engulfs another, it completely covers or hides it, often in a sudden and unexpected way.

- Scattered rain is expected to engulf Da Nang tomorrow, September 10. In the next 3 days, the city will see the average mercury hover at 25-33 degrees Celsius in many of its parts.
- A seven-year-old boy was found dead after a landslide engulfed a block of flats.
- The flat is engulfed in flames

2. Mang nghĩa "bị tác động mạnh mẽ"
=If a feeling or emotion engulfs you, you are strongly affected by it.
