1. Mang nghĩa"môn thể thao"
=an activity in which players or teams compete against each other, usually an activity that involves physical effort

- Với nghĩa này, sport là danh từ đếm được
- team sport
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- Bob’s sport is tennis.
- Football is a popular women’s sport in the US.
- Football, basketball, and hockey are all team sports.
- I enjoy winter sports like skiing and skating.
- My favourite team sport is rugby.
2. Mang nghĩa"thể thao (nói chung)"
=sports in general/all types of physical activity that people do to keep healthy or for enjoyment

- Với nghĩa này, sport là danh từ không đếm được

- The school is keen to involve more young people in sport.
- She used to do/play a lot of sport when she was younger.

3. Mang nghĩa"cuộc gặp gỡ để thi đấu điền kinh ( số nhiều)"
=an event held by a school or club at which there are games and competitions in which you run, jump, throw things etc

- Với nghĩa này, sport luôn ở số nhiều
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- the school sports day
- inter-university sports (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: cuộc thi đấu điền kinh giữa các trường đại học)
- a sports day (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: ngày thi đấu điền kinh)
4. Mang nghĩa"liên quan đến thể thao, thuộc thể thao"
=relating to sports, or involved in sports

- Sports luôn thêm s nếu đứng trước noun
- Xem lại điểm ngữ pháp dùng danh từ như tính từ mà IELTS TUTOR đã hướng dẫn

5. Mang nghĩa"người dễ thương, người vui vẻ, người có tinh thần độ lượng"
=someone who always behaves in a reasonable way and is always willing to help
