1. Mang nghĩa "kỳ, thời kỳ, thời gian, giai đoạn, thời đại (của lịch sử, đời người, nền văn minh..)"
= a length of time

- Vì period mang nghĩa "thời kì, giai đoạn" nên thường đi với giới từ during / over dùng để kéo dài khoảng thời gian

2. Mang nghĩa "kinh nguyệt; kỳ hành kinh, đến tháng"
=the bleeding from a woman's womb that happens once a month when she is not pregnant
