1. Về nghĩa

- Cấu trúc "not....but rather...." mang ý nghĩa là "KHÔNG PHẢI.... MÀ LÀ...." (Used to say that one thing is not true but a different thing is true)

2.1. Áp dụng theo cấu trúc song song

- Cấu trúc "not....but rather..." sẽ được dùng theo cấu trúc song song mà IELTS TUTOR đã hướng dẫn, tức là nếu vế trước là adj, thì vế sau cũng là adj

- IELTS TUTOR giải thích: ở đây hidden là adj, softened là adj tức đã tuân theo cấu trúc song song
2.2. Nếu dùng "rather" ở đầu câu thì bỏ "but"
