1. Satisfy (ngoại động từ)
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- Là ngoại động từ thì theo sau phải có tân ngữ nhé
1.1. Mang nghĩa"làm hài lòng, thoã mãn ai đó, cái gì"
=If someone or something satisfies you, they give you enough of what you want or need to make you pleased or contented.
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- to please someone by giving them what they want or need
- satisfy conditions/needs/requirements
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- She satisfies all the requirements for the job.
- They sell 31 flavours of ice cream - enough to satisfy everyone!
1.2. Mang nghĩa"đưa ra cho ai bằng chứng, thông tin... để thuyết phục"
=To satisfy someone that something is true or has been done properly means to convince them by giving them more information or by showing them what has been done.
IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ:
- He has to satisfy the environmental lobby that real progress will be made to cut emissions.
- To satisfy the police that one is innocent /as to one's innocence (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: đưa bằng chứng cho cảnh sát để nói rằng ai vô tội)
- He wanted to satisfy himself that he had given his best performance.
1.3. Mang nghĩa"hoàn thành (một yêu cầu, một ước mơ...); đáp ứng; thoả mãn"
=If you satisfy the requirements for something, you are good enough or have the right qualities to fulfil these requirements.

- The procedures should satisfy certain basic requirements.
- She has satisfied the conditions for entry into the college (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: cô ta hội đủ các điều kiện nhập học trường cao đẳng)
2. Satisfied (adj) # satisfying (adj): thoã mãn
IELTS TUTOR lưu ý:
- Để phân biệt sự khác nhau giữa 2 từ này thì phải hiểu bản chất adj-ving và adj-ed khác nhau chỗ nào
- be satisfied with/by...: con người (mình) hài lòng với cái gì đó

- Were you satisfied with your purchases?
- You will get a refund if you are not completely satisfied with your meal.
- If you are still not satisfied, you should contact the manager.
- Were you satisified by the reponse to your enquiry?
- The demonstrators are not satisfied with the government's tax proposals.
- sth be satisfying: cái gì đó làm mình rất thoã mãn

- a satisfying meal
- My work is very satisfying.
3. Satisfaction (danh từ): sự thoã mãn

- She smiled with satisfaction.
4. Satisfactory (adj) = good enough = tạm chấp nhận được

- unsatisfactory (adj) not good enough to be acceptable: không đạt yêu cầu

- The government believes the economy is growing at a satisfactory rate.
- The product was not of satisfactory quality.
- The parties must discuss the matter until they come to a satisfactory agreement.
- If the results of the tests are satisfactory, the drug should be on the market next year.
- The boat lacked satisfactory navigation equipment.
