II. Cách dùng "double"
1. Double dùng như VERB

- Nếu DOUBLE, được dùng như VERB thì sẽ mang nghĩa TĂNG CÁI GÌ LÊN GẤP ĐÔI hoặc mang nghĩa là CÁI GÌ TĂNG LÊN GẤP ĐÔI (tương ứng với liệu double là ngoại động từ hay là nội động từ mà IELTS TUTOR sẽ hướng dẫn dưới đây)
1.1. Double vừa là ngoại động từ, vừa là nội động từ

1.3. double dùng như nội động từ
=to become twice as big, twice as much, or twice as many (Cái gì đó tăng lên gấp 2)

- When the price of skiing in the mountain resorts doubled, tourists voted with their feet and just stopped going.

2. Double dùng như determiner (hạn định từ)
Mang nghĩa "gấp 2 cái gì đó"

3. Double dùng như adv (làm cái gì thành 2, đi với verb)

- Fold the blanket double (= so that it is in two layers) and then you won't be cold.
- They were bent double (= their heads and shoulders were bent forward and down) from decades of work in the fields.
4. Double dùng như adj
4.1. Mang nghĩa "đôi, kép, đồng thời"
=involving two things happening at the same time

=containing or consisting of twice as much of something as normal
